  1. What is 375go?
    1. 375go is an iOS application that conducts infrequent network speed tests to create a global map of internet quality. Activate your account and 375go will work in the background as you move around. The more area you cover, the more you will contribute to the network.
  2. What permissions does the app need to function?
    1. The device’s location to map test results reliably.
    2. Background activity to be able to conduct speed tests while the app is not in active use.
    3. Optional push notifications to keep you up to date on network activity
  3. Why do you need my location?
    1. To map test results reliably.
    2. We split the world into “hexes”. Covering as many hexes as possible is one of the objectives for you. To determine which hexes you have covered, we need to know your location.
  4. Why does the app need to run in the background?
    1. The app runs in the background to conduct speed tests while the app is not in active use
    2. This way, you can go about your day and covering hexes without needing to have the app open.
  5. What happens to my data?
      1. We only save data if you explicitly provide it to us, such as your email address.
      2. You always have the option not to share this information
      3. We only store personal data (such as an email) that is needed to be able to sign you in.
      4. Speed tests results are added to the network to eventually map internet quality.
      5. Personally identifiable information (PII) is never added to the network map.
  1. How are you conducting network speed tests?
    1. We are using the speedchecker SDK (https://www.speedchecker.com/) which is an approved way on iOS to handle network connection speed tests
    2. iOS will determine at all times if a background test is allowed, depending on your battery level and overall test frequency. This way, we ensure that speed tests are optimized for reliability and efficiency.
  2. What methods can I use to sign in?
    1. We currently offer the following ways to create an account and to log in:
      1. Email & password
      2. Sign in with Apple
      3. Google Single Sign-on
      4. Crypto wallet (such as Solflare or Phantom)
  3. Can I delete my account and data?
    1. Yes, users can delete their accounts and any data associated with the account directly in the app.
  4. What do you need to participate?
    1. The 375go mobile app
    2. Appropriate permissions must be granted
    3. Your account must be activated (via a one-time in-app purchase)
    4. A crypto wallet for the Solana network must be connected (i.e. Solflare or Phantom)
  5. What kind of rewards do I get?
    1. The rewards are 375 tokens that live on the Solana blockchain.
  6. Does 375go only work on iOS?
    1. 375go is also available on Android
  7. What’s a hex?
    1. A hex refers to segmented areas of the world that users can travel to, "cover" and have the app test internet quality in.
