ALPR Usage and Privacy Policy

375.ai with our subsidiary 375ai US Inc. (collectively, “375.ai,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides this Automated License Plate Reader (“ALPR”) Usage and Privacy Policy to describe how we operate our ALPR system.

Collection, Use, and Sharing of ALPR Information.

We collect, use, and share ALPR information collected through the 375.ai APLR system for purposes consistent with this Policy. For the purposes of this Policy, ALPR information includes license plate number, state of registration, images of the license plate and/or vehicle, and vehicle characteristics (make/model/color), associated with timestamp and location where this information was collected.

Our customers may include:

  • Enterprises, including public and private companies;
  • Civic organizations;
  • State and local governments;
  • Law enforcement agencies;
  • Freight and logistics companies;
  • Autonomous vehicle companies; and
  • Advertisers.

We use, sell, share, and transfer to our customers the ALPR information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To create, enrich, and validate data in the 375 network;
  • To provide market insights and analytics;
  • To protect the safety and security of any person or entity, including for investigation and detection purposes;
  • To protect the rights of our customers or the rights of third parties; and
  • For our customers legitimate commercial and business purposes.

Our customers may access ALPR information pursuant to a data sales agreement or similar license agreement either via a direct feed from or by logging into the 375ai platform.

We do not sell, share, or transfer ALPR information to individuals for non-commercial uses, and require all buyers to represent lawful use of the data.

ALPR Information Retention

We retain ALPR information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the ALPR information was collected or, if longer, to comply with legal obligations, to resolve disputes, to enforce agreements, or to satisfy and similar essential purposes.

Once the retention period expires and if not otherwise required to retain information by law, we will delete the ALPR information.

ALPR System Security and Accuracy

We use administrative, physical, and technical safeguards designed to protect the ALPR information collected through the ALPR system. These safeguards may include: cybersecurity safeguards such as VPNs, intrusion detection and other security technologies. In addition, access to APLR information is limited within the company to trained personnel with a need to access the data for purposes of their employment.

Authorized Employees and Independent Contractors

Certain employees and independent contractors of 375.ai are authorized to use and access the ALPR system and to collect ALPR information through the ALPR system for purposes related to their employment or contracting arrangement with 375.ai. Other employees and independent contractors are not authorized to access the ALPR data.

Before accessing the ALPR system, 375.ai employees and independent contractors are required to keep APLR information confidential and use it only for purposes of their employment, and are trained in relevant company policies that ensure the security of the APLR information.

ALPR System Owner and Custodian

37a.ai is the custodian of the ALPR System. Our Chief Operating Officer oversees compliance with this Policy.
